I've been living overseas for a few years now and mexican is one thing I have craved the entire time. Europeans can't seem to do this at all.

Its a breathe of fresh air to have a local mexican restaurant nearby.  My husband and I plan on giving them a lot of business. We enjoy their food for the price. He orders margaritas by the buckets with fajitas.  He tried their Carne Asada meal during lunch hours but it wasn't great. It was like a piece of leather. The Fajita meat was much better.

I enjoy the simplicity of their tacos. I prefer their chicken over the beef. Their beef is more of a cereal consistency if you know what I mean. I can eat 10 hardshell tacos in one sitting so I go to their Taco Tuesday.

For the price, we love this place and the service is fast and friendly. I really enjoy their free chips and salsa. Yummm!!!

We are visiting in town (I am originally from the area) and were craving some Mexican food. We were very disappointed. We were first sat in a room with no AC (it had to be almost 100 degrees in the room). We decided to wait and we were sat. Took almost 10 mins to order drinks and get salsa. We finally got our order in and the food took about 25 mins. There were only 2 servers so I do know they were trying their best.

Onto the food- the salsa tasted like canned tomatoes and was sweet. The guac tasted like holy guacamoley from the store. The fajitas had beefsteak tomatoes in them and did not come with tortillas. The "chili relleno" was not the correct pepper, had no cornmeal on it, and was stuffed with mozz cheese. The rice was overdone and underseasoned.

I understand that this is CNY but I cannot believe the lack of effort in the food... also, what Mexican restaurant doesn't serve beer?

I wasn't expecting much in terms of Mexican food in CNY. But this place was heavily lacking. No Mexican food should ever be bland. The "cheese dip" was just watered down white American cheese. The "guacamole" tasted watered down... frozen maybe? Absolutely no salt or lime juice. Just a tiny bit of cilantro. The salsa was decent. The chips were warm and fresh.

My friend ordered shrimp tacos which consisted of only 2 pieces of shrimp for over 4 dollars. Outrageous.

The tamales were decent and the rice was pretty good. The server was a sweetheart.

Giving two stars because the guacamole was absolutely horrendous as was the queso. Also they advertise on their website and all over the restaurant they serve alcohol, but we were told they were still working on getting a liquor license.

    Good Mexican and great service!

Came in for a quick lunch and was very happy with El Jarocho.

Being from Virginia, where good Mexican is everywhere - I was pleased with everything about it.

The only drawback is that it's in a older building, but newer ones are far and few between in Central NY. It was clean, but dated.

Overall a great spot for Mexican and I will be back.

This was one of the top Mexican restaurants I have been to in the area!

Fresh homemade salsa and chips are available when you sit down.
As an appetizer we ordered the chorizo queso with homemade chips

I ordered a lobster burrito for my main meal and the price was around $15 and was plenty of food, very tasty, and smothered in a delicious cheese queso sauce.
Another person ordered two chicken quesadillas for $6, which were two 6-8" tortillas folded in half and for the price it's a pretty good bargain and were very tasty.

Another table ordered steak fajitas, and the food was noted to be delivered straight out of the pan like it should be and looked absolutely amazing.

Wait staff were very courteous and very vigilant in their service making sure all your needs were met.
